- After leaving a car on the Wollongambe fire trail near the turn-off to Gooch's crater we will take a second car to the end of the Waratah Ridge Road. From the Waratah Ridge we will walk south following a spectacular but straightforward route down a ridge to Bungleboori Creek. After crossing the creek we will follow a ridgeline SSE, climbing gradually, eventually returning to the first car for the reverse car shuttle. The route south of the Bungleboori could be complex and will be exploratory for the leader. Expect some scrambling. To make the car shuttle practical the group will be limited to 5, of whom at least one (apart from me) has a vehicle that can be taken on a rough road.
