- This is a long walk, largely off track (approx. 9hr and 18 km), but you are rewarded by a magnificent ridge, an interesting descent down a 'pass', the best swimming pool I have seen in the mountains, and a bracing walk back up the Colo then Canoe Creek to the starting point. Colo River is less commonly visited than much of the Blue Mountains, but I believe it is worth the effort. A link with maps and photos is attached.
