- Description
- First time back there after a number of years so it's 5HX as I don't know what we'll find. The walk starts from Deane's siding on the old coach road, first stop is the Scimitar Slot so named by Michael Keats due to it's shape, we descend through it to below the cliff line walking a wide ledge past numerous waterfalls before an easy climb brings us up for lunch. An easy return down via the "Coliseum" and a walk along to visit the "Celestial chamber" it's 80 metres wide and 30 metres high with interesting acoustics. We'll exit via a spiral chamber further along, there is also some Aboriginal art to view. Great views over Rock Island along the way.
