NSW Women’s Week walk - Lost City (*note change of date*)
In conjunction with Bushwalking NSW, Women's Week, which is a statewide bushwalking event, I am leading this trip. This will be open to visitors as well. The Lost City walking track offers a unique and stunning outlook relatively close to Lithgow. Within the Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area, you will experience sandstone pagodas, tranquil creeks, and historic mining relics all on a well formed track. The highlights are two heritage dams that were constructed in the 1920s to supply water to Lithgow until the late 1980s and the chance to explore the distinctive pagodas up close, all with most incredible pagoda scenery that the mountains. Also we will also be on the lookout for gang gang cockatoos, scarlett robins or south-eastern glossy black cockatoos.

Devils Wilderness history walk Cancelled
In 1804 the explorer George Caley descended into the Devils Wilderness via a pass that he described in his journal in some detail. That pass is still there today just as Caley found it, unnamed and uncommermorated. We will trace a portion of Caley’s route, including the aforementioned pass, as far as the junction of Wilderness Brook and the Grose. From there we will follow the Grose downstream via what remains of the 1860 Engineers Track to the gully at 726833 where we will exit to Browns ridge and the fire trail back to Paterson Range and our vehicles. Expect a long, hard day. Off track, scrub, steep loose ground with one 10 meter climb down.
