- This short but steep tourist walk has has its geology described in "Geology of the Blue Mountains: A Tourist's Guide" by Paul Gorjan. I intend to do this walk on Thursday to look at the features described in the book. We can stop at various points along the way to identify the features described in the book. Those who wish to avoid walking up Furber's Steps are welcome to fork out the $25 for a trip up on the scenic railway. Anyone with a knowledge of geology is encouraged to come along and share their knowledge to save us diving in and out of the guidebook. Thought it would be a good idea to do this walk at the moment as tourist numbers are down.
