- A 3-day adventure. Day 1 – Drive to Drip Rock Trail and leave vehicles there. Descend to the Colo via Pass 30a. Establish a base camp. Day 2 – Explore the knife-blade spur north of Blacksmiths Creek. Probably return via Blacksmiths Creek. Day 3 – Exit via Pass 30. About 20 km total. Brilliant swimming in between of walking. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.
