- This is a half day walk below the cliffs on Narrow Neck at Katoomba. I intend to finish just after lunch to avoid the afternoon traffic. From the locked gate on Narrow Neck we walk along the fire trail then turn off to Redledge Pass. We follow the ledges to Redledge Pass but do not descend. We continue S along the ledges. There are some exposed sections. Then ledges open out to pleasant ledge walking, We reach the pile of rocks signifying Rock Pile and walk past it to the end of the ledge then return to rock pile. A short climb and a bush track bring us back onto the fire trail and back to the locked gate. Distance 6 km.
