- A one day, Remote Area First Aid course conducted by Pulse First Aid at Hazelbrook. The course includes CPR, hypothermia, care when waiting for an ambulance for an extended time, risk assessment for different environments, communication, bleeding including massive bleeds, snakes, spiders and ticks, asthma, anaphylaxis, sprains, strains and moving casualties. The cost per person is $150. An on-line module is to be completed prior to the practical day. Successful completion of the course results in the following nationally recognised qualifications: HLTAID005 Provide first aid in remote situations, HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support and HLTAID 003 Provide first aid.
