Wollangambe Fire Trail to Waratah Ridge

- We will start on the fire trail near Dumbano Tunnels (provided the gate is unlocked) and head North East, crossing Dumbano Creek near the end of Cesspit Canyon. From there we will walk North, cross the Bungleboori and follow Scatters Ridge back to the Waratah Ridge fire trial. There will be 1-3km of fire trail at the start and ~1km of fire trail at the end, but most of the day will be walking off-track in rough terrain. There is likely to be some steep rock scrambling and thick scrub. A few kilometres in the middle section of the walk are exploratory for the leader. It will be a long day with an early start, a long walk, and a long car shuttle. The reward will be a visit to some very wild and beautiful country.
