Castle Head Abseil is situated 1 km further along the road from the barrier at Narrow Neck, Katoomba. We do a car shuffle form the Golden Stairs car park to the barrier. There are 6 abseils down the cliff, the longest of which is 45 metres. There is a fairly exposed step across a gap between 2 cliffs after Abseil 4. At the end of the abseils, we walk down the ridge to the tourist track close to the Ruined Castle, then back up the Golden Stairs to Narrow Neck.
