- Description
- Claustral canyon is one of the most impressive canyons in the Blue Mountains. The dark Black Hole of Calcutta drops down a waterfall in three abseils, and is then followed by 700m of deep spectacular canyon. There are a number of sections requiring scrambling down obstacles often with flowing water, and some cold swims. The walk out also takes up to 4 hours. This is a long and committing canyon, and we need to move efficiently. It is suitable for fit and experienced canyoners who can swim and are comfortable abseiling on a single 8mm rope in a waterfall.
