Empress anmd Fortress Canyons

- Description
- We begin with Empress, at Wentworth Falls, with some short swims and jumps, ending in a lovely abseil down Empress Falls. Morning tea will be at the Conservation Hut then we drive out on the Mt Hay Road, Leura, to the Fortress Ridge car park. We follow the ridge and descend into Fortress Creek for swims, wades and jumps. The is one short abseil. The canyon ends where Fortress Creek plunges into the Grose Valley. Here there are delightful “spa” pools on the edge of the cliffs. We return along Fortress Ridge.
