Fortress is off the Mt Hay Rd at Leura. It is an ideal canyon for people new to canyoning who don't mind a 2 metre jump into water. There is one 6m easy abseil as well as the 2 metre jump. The canyon involves creek walking, wades and a few long swims. At the end there are magnificent views of the Grose Valley from rock pools where Fortress Creek plunges over the cliffs
