Fortress Canyon is a nice easy canyon, though not particularly deep or dark. It has one short 5m abseil but is otherwise a walk and swim along Fortress Creek near Leura.
At the end of the canyon the lunch spot is a highlight, looking across to Lockley Pylon at the top of the cliffs above Govett Gorge. The walk out also has superb views along Fortress Ridge.
This trip will be subject to NSW COVID regulations and will be limited to fully vaccinated participants from LGAs that are not designated as areas of concern.
