- Galong Creek is situated in the Megalong Valley. It begins near Carlons Farm and descends through spectacular pink granite country to the Cox's River. This is a short walk, 5km,exploring the upper section of the creek and returning the same way. The walk follows the creek with rock hopping and scrambling. In some places shin deep water may be encountered. Ropes will be used for some short drops in the creek. We turn around where the creek drops steeply. We should finish quite early and may explore options such as afternoon tea at the Megalong Tea rooms or another short walk in the area.
