Macquarie Rivulet is in Macquarie Pass NP, near Wollongong. It is an ideal canyon for less experienced canyoners. We are doing the lower section which has five short abseils with easy starts. There are also jumps into pools which can be walked around if you don’t like jumping. A wet suit is not needed on a hot day. It is a short canyon. The drive from Katoomba or from Sydney takes 2 ½ to 3 hours. The walk in and out is quite short and very pleasant. Members who have recently completed the UBMBC canyon training will be given priority. Please do not book in until 4 Jan. By then I should know if the park is still open.
