- Description
- From Newnes we will walk West along Little Capertee Creek until it divides and narrows. From there we will head steeply up a gully to the North. Once on the top we will make our way East on the broken ridge line until we find a notch that provides an easy way through the cliffs below the Altar Room. Then it is a steep descent to the creek and a short walk back to Newnes. The walk is mostly off-track. All except the first and last hour will be exploratory for the leaders. Expect some scrambling, wild country, great views and a pogoda-fest. Graded 5 because of the exploratory nature of the walk. Co-leader is Lisa Harvey.
