- To coincide with Tracie McMahon's Lockley Pylon walk on Saturday 4 February, I am planning a walk from Perrys Lookdown to join Tracie's group at Lockley Pylon. It is a rare opportunity to walk across the Grose Valley from Blackheath without the need for a long car shuffle. The walk is only approx. 10 km's, however, has a 600m descent / ascent, a river crossing, some mild exposure and some scrambling. We will also need to maintain a medium walking pace to meet Tracie's group at Lockley Pylon for morning tea. It will be a small group walk (up to 4 people including the leader) as we will need to fit all walkers into Tracie's vehicle for the return journey from Mt Hay Rd to Perrys Lookdown. The walk is programmed on the basis of the current favourable weather forecast.
