- Ranon Brook Canyon and Ranon Canyon are off the Bells Line of Road near Mt Bell. Both are very pleasant canyons. Ranon Brook Canyon has abseils up to 10m, while Ranon Canyon has abseils up to 35m. Ranon Canyon is a 10/10 according to the Tom Brennan scale. Exit is via the usual Claustral exit. It involves exposure and rock scrambling, distance around 8km and elevation gain of around 400m. Wetsuits and all the usual abseiling gear is needed. It will be a long day.
