RP - Abseiling Basics

- Description
- Practice basic abseiling skills such as: abseiling smoothly on single and double ropes, following the optimal rope path, safety checks, adjusting friction on the descender, locking off descender, leg wrap lockoff, rope management, teamwork, communication, passing rebelays on a traverse line, using prusiks, hazards and risks,. The focus will be on competent level skills, however there are opportunities for grade 4 and 5's to rig and manage anchors. It is a full day (8am to 4pm).
