- This walk is in the North of Winburndale Nature Reserve. After driving from Mount Victoria for ~90 minutes we will leave a car or cars near where the Mount Horrible Road meets the Eastern Boundary of the reserve. The walk starts from just South of the junction of the Mount Horrible Road and the Eskdale Road, and heads generally East, initially through lovely open woodland with mature unburned trees, then down a knife edge ridge, to meet a fire trail at Palmers Oaky Creek. There is a short, steep uphill walk along the fire trail back to the car/s.
