- Above Carne Creek not far fro the Glow Worm Tunnel Rd. are a number of spectacular cave-like overhangs of enormous size including Weather, Rain, Michelangelo, Gemini and Twin Arch Caves. Intention is to visit all of these and maybe a couple of others. This walk is usually done in conjunction with a walk out to Pyramid Rock in the creek valley, but we are not doing that on this walk. We do, however, ascend to the tops via the aptly named Miracle Slot. I have graded this walk as 4MH even though it is mostly off-track, but it does however, follow a known route and is not particularly hard or exposed. Only about 4.5 km so it will be a leisurely pace with plenty of time for enjoying the views and photography. This will be the third attempt at doing this walk in recent months after previous walks were cancelled because of flooding or road closure. The Glow Worm Rd is open for the school hols which has provided a window of opportunity to do the walk.
