The plan is to go in via Bell, then down to Wollangambe Creator and then on down the Wollangambe River. I understand the first part of the river is a scramble and fairly slow but after that we get into the canyon proper with some long swims/wades/floats. Finally exiting via the Geronimo entry/exit track up to Mt Wilson Fire Station. For me this is an exploratory trip because I haven't done it before, although it is a known route.
It is only 18km but some of it will be slow going so the plan is to do it as an overnight canyon trip. There are no abseils but there are some long water swims. So as well as wetsuits some sort of floatation is needed (lilos are not ideal as there is a fair bit of rock scrambling between swims). We will also need camping gear, food and suitable dry bags to keep sleeping bag etc dry.
By the way we will visit the Center of the Universe on the way!
