Description
High temperatures are forecast for Sunday so cool off with an adventure in Rocky Creek. The canyon is magnificent with deep, dark canyon sections and towering walls. There are no abseils. We begin with a short walk from the car park to Twister Canyon which has pools, slides and several short jumps. A pleasant walk along the creek brings us to Rocky Creek canyon with slides and some long swims. Negotiating the "washing machine" adds to the excitement. It is a cold canyon so wet suits are required. The canyon formations are exceptional. Eventually we emerge from the darkness to a sandy beach for lunch then we return swimming up Rocky Creek and walking to the car park.
