Description
Grand Canyon is a popular and easily accessible canyon that is known for its long constriction, sun beams and beautiful fern lined walls but at night it has stars of its own (glowworms) that sparkle on the walls. We will be using Single Rope Technique for the one and only 17 metre abseil so you would need to be comfortable abseiling on single rope. A rockclimbing helmet, abseiling gear, headtorch (with spare batteries) and a wetsuit is required. In the canyon there is scrambling on slippery rocks and logs, down small waterfalls, some wades and swims. We meet in Medlow Bath at 6:30pm and probably return to the cars around 11pm.
