This activity is targeted at grade 2 and grade 3 canyoners, and preference will be given to those who attended the recent Ropes Practice Day. There will be a ratio of 3 highly experienced canyoners to 5 participants, and this will provide you with ample opportunities to observe club practice and to ask questions.
Sleeper is a beautiful, compact canyon which presents a variety of abseiling challenges that would typically be encountered in bigger canyons, but there are no drops greater than 15m.
You will experience a range of rigging, rope management, and belay techniques that you will encounter on other club technical canyoning activities.
You will get wet - there are compulsory short swims and wades – so you may choose to wear a wetsuit.
