This is a reasonably long day with a sustained creek walk before the constriction involving abseils is reached. Many would be familiar with parts of this canyon from visits to the nearby more highly trafficked Claustral Canyon, however Thunder Canyon is worth visiting in its own right. Please only consider this trip if you are a reasonably experienced canyoner and confident you can move through the canyon efficiently.
